Day 4

Columbia To Leesburg

131 Miles ~5,400 FeeT

Last breakfast!

Breakfast in Columbia includes shoofly pie if there is any left (great rando breakfast), with more features from Gracie’s Amazing: sausage pies, oatmeal pies, fresh bread, and juice and coffee.

You won’t want to leave, but the finish beckons without too much struggle.

Local Food Not to be Missed

  • Deja Brew Coffee & Bakery, New Oxford
  • Bruster’s Ice Cream, Frederick
  • Rasco NY Pizza and Velocity Wings, Lovettsville
The road well traveled…
    • After re-crossing the Susquehanna, the route returns to York.
    • The next 60 miles are on quiet, country roads with modest rollers.
    • Riders cross the Mason-Dixon Line again into Maryland.
    • Thirty miles from the end you will cross the Potomac again to re-enter Virginia and encounter the biggest climb of the day, about 500′ of elevation over 5 miles.
    • The final miles feature Virginia wine country and some easy trail riding.
    GRAND FINISH IN LEESBURG!

The finishing party offers finisher medals, hugs, laughs, stories, libations, and catering by Anita’s.
